The First Tee of the Upstate Golf Challenge!

We are on an exciting mission! As a friend of The First Tee of the Upstate, we have a deep desire to help this great organization make a difference in the lives of young people.

The First Tee of the Upstate is an organization dedicated to impacting the lives of young people in Cherokee, Spartanburg and Greenville Counties by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. A 501 (c) 3 not for profit organization, The First Tee of the Upstate utilizes a combination of certification programs, community outreach joint-ventures and a partnership with Cherokee, Spartanburg and Greenville County Public Schools to positively impact the lives of more than 40,000 young people in the Upstate each year. The First Tee curriculum is based on the tenet of following Nine Core Values:  Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, and Judgment.

The First Tee of the Upstate is a proud participant in the nationwide The First Tee National School Program. The NSP introduces the game of golf and The First Tee Nine Core Values and Nine Healthy Habits to elementary students during physical education classes. Currently introduced to more than 7,000 elementary schools throughout the country and 94 schools in the Upstate, this school golf program creates an environment where young people are introduced to the lifelong sport while learning the basic golf motor skills and the inherent values of the game. Physical educators receive professional development training and are provided age-appropriate materials, junior golf lesson plans, and equipment for effective implementation into their existing physical education programs.

The cost for initiating a school into the NSP is $3,000 per school and that is why I am challenging YOU to come with me “in spirit” and sponsor me in this event!

Our goal is to tell the story of The First Tee of the Upstate's vision to impact countless lives in the three counties that we are conducting programming now and then to expand to more counties in the near future! By supporting me personally for $50, $100, $250, or even $500, you will be contributing more than money...you will be helping impact young people in the Upstate and creating not only...Good Golfers, but Great People!

Welcome to The First Tee of the Upstate Golf Challenge!
