Zawadi was born on April 4, 2014 to a young mother, just a girl. After a few days home with her baby, she became desperate and ran away. Zawadi was very hungry so her poor relative left her at the local clinic and the clinic called Kulea. Kulea staff later reunited Zawadi with her great grandmother and provided formula, bottles and clothes for her. Now Kulea is providing food for them and checking in several times each month to be sure Zawadi is safe and growing strong. Zawadi's sponsors cover the cost of food, clothes, medical care and soon preschool.
