I am Mitchel (pronounced Michele) and I'm 13 years old. When I was little, my father was killed so my mother left me with a relative while she worked in another town. I was forced to work, but if I brought home no money I was given homemade alcohol to kill the hunger. I was not in school and was often chased from home or beaten by those relatives. My mother was very upset to find me this way when she returned, so we escaped to Mombasa and to Manna Bible Church in Likoni. Here I've learned that God loves me and was introduced to Kulea who offered to send me to school for the first time. I'm feeling stronger with good food, safety and promise of school. I thank God and now I have hope.
